00:00What is the main thing for Kansas City and especially right now?

00:03Well, it's going to, it is very cliche, but it's to score one more run than the other

00:10team every night.

00:11You know, we went through a period of time over the last, I'd say a year ago, year and

00:15a half ago, where we were trying to, we were overcorrecting, we were trying, you were diving

00:19into data, we were training differently, which is all great and we still do those things.

00:24But when it comes down to it, when it's game time, it's not about numbers.

00:29It's about playing the game the right way.

00:30It's about executing.

00:31It's about making pitches.

00:33It's about taking extra base.

00:34It's about moving a runner when you need to.

00:36And that's the main thing.

00:37And when you do those things, you win ballgame.

00:40So we went through a period last off season where we addressed it.

00:43You know, we're going to honor and respect how to train players and make them better.

00:47But when we, when we take the field, we're taking the field to win the game.

00:52That is the main goal.

00:53That's why we play the game.

00:54It's no different when these guys were seven and eight, nine, 10 years old.

00:58They always wanted to win.

01:00It's just at a higher level.

01:01So we had to separate that a little bit.

01:03I'm really proud of the way our coaching staff, not only in the major leagues, but also in

01:07the minor leagues, we've gone about it really well this year.
