00:07Hey, Scotty, another great weekend in college football, week two in the books. Want to do

00:13a quick recap. Big winners from week two, Tennessee and Texas. I think it's time to

00:20start looking at the Volunteers as legit playoff contenders, maybe a team that can go deep

00:27into the playoffs. I'll tell you why. They had a showdown Saturday night in Charlotte

00:30against NC State. Both ranked teams thought this would be competitive, but Tennessee rolled

00:3651 to 10. And this had less to do with their quarterback, Nico Iamaliava. This was really

00:45about the defense. And Josh Heupel, when he has a defense and a running game, Dylan Samson

00:51went for over 100 yards and two touchdowns. When it's more than just that passing attack,

00:56if they could play D the way they did against NC State, allowing zero touchdowns, just

01:01over 100 yards in total defense. This might be a complete team. So Tennessee, a team to

01:06watch. Texas goes into Michigan, wins 31 to 12. Quinears now the odds on favorite as far

01:13as the Heisman Trophy, plus 500 on FanDuel. I think that is legitimate. Quinears looks

01:19poised. He looked comfortable. For all we could say about Michigan right now, Scott,

01:24that defense is still elite. The offense is not, but Quinears had no problems carving

01:30up that Michigan defense. So Sark has Texas playing really well.

01:35Let's keep it on quarterbacks for a sec. Michigan, Notre Dame in the portal during the off season.

01:40What were these guys doing? Michigan gets no one out of the portal. ND and Marcus Freeman

01:45go after Riley Leonard. I mean, you had two years of tape at Duke. You could see that

01:51this kid cannot complete passes downfield. He cannot complete a ball over 10 yards. Notre

01:57Dame, which looked like they had a clear path to the playoffs, somehow gags against Northern

02:03Illinois, loses 16 to 14. Just an epic loss for the Irish. Now to get to the playoffs,

02:09they're going to have to run the table. Something positive about quarterbacks too, I wanted

02:14to bring up. First off, Cade Klubnick, unbelievable performance. This might be exactly what Clemson

02:19needs. 378, seven touchdowns in the first half against a pretty good App State team.

02:25So Cade Klubnick Clemson off this weekend. Let's watch what he does. DJ Lagway, the true

02:30freshman replaces Graham Mertz at Florida. He looked incredible. Now, Billy Napier has

02:36a decision to make and quickly looking ahead to week three, best matchup this week for

02:40me, Arizona, Kansas state, love the two quarterbacks, two young quarterbacks, sophomores, Noah Fafita

02:46of Arizona, Avery Johnson of Kansas state, big 12 is going to be great all season long.

02:52I think this game in Manhattan is going to typify what the big 12 is in 2024.
