00:00The Jets and the Patriots is where we will begin this coming week.

00:08Of course, the Jets are coming off that win in Tennessee over the Titans.

00:12The Patriots are surprisingly one and one, and they have been very, very spunky in both

00:17of those games, losing in overtime to Seattle at home on Sunday.

00:24He will miss extended time, so you won't see him on Thursday night.

00:27Six and a half for the Jets right now, and a 38 and a half total as we sit here on a

00:35Tuesday.

00:36I got to be honest with you, I thought the Jets looked terrible against the Niners.

00:40I thought they looked average against the Titans in Nissan in Smashville.

00:47I bet on them and covered and made money on them, but I did not think they looked great.

00:54The Titans had every chance in the world to tie that game up, and they didn't, so everybody's

01:00acting like the Jets are world beaters now.

01:02What I've seen so far from them is a lot of overhyped paper champion stuff, like they're

01:09this great team, and I haven't seen anything great about them whatsoever, and Aaron Rodgers

01:15has become completely pedestrian.

01:18I mean, I've never once in my life seen this guy have 176-yard games, back-to-back, whatever

01:23it is.

01:24I mean, the numbers are right around there.

01:25They're almost anemic, and then I won't deny he's under control, and he finally won, congratulations,

01:33but the Patriots, on the other hand, I mean, they beat the Bengals, and they had Seattle

01:39on the ropes and let them slip through their fingers, and you're going to give them seven?

01:45I don't know if I trust the New York Jets at all against the Pats in a Thursday night

01:50game, and that's where I'm leaning right now.

01:54Now, I think, frankly, Sunday's going to go a lot differently than this weekend and Monday

02:01night did, but I'll tell you what.

02:03I'm willing to say Thursday night could be the same thing, and until that game's over,

02:08I'm not ready to go into the world of now all of a sudden all the favorites are going

02:12to start covering, but you know, Carver Heights said it best.

02:20I mean, this is going to be a normal, to me, AFC slugfest, and if they don't turn the

02:26ball over and they run the ball and they don't make mistakes, and if the Jets do make mistakes

02:32and the Pats capitalize on those mistakes like they've done the first two weeks, they'll

02:37cover the number.

02:40I'm with you.

02:41I've seen enough.

02:42Now, look, it's only two games.

02:44I know some will say the sample size isn't big enough yet, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

02:48Two games, through eight quarters, I see how Mayo wants to play.

02:53It's the way we thought he was going to play, which is close to the vest.
