00:03The Minnesota Vikings, let's go over the offseason, right?

00:06Justin Jefferson gets that monster contract.

00:08You're looking to start JJ McCarthy after drafting him in the first round, 10th overall.

00:14McCarthy gets injured.

00:15People get upset with that, rightfully so.

00:17They wanted to see him play.

00:18It's Sam Darnold who hasn't had a great NFL career by any stretches.

00:22What are we going to expect here?

00:24In week number one, I think a lot of people expected them to beat the Giants because quite

00:28frankly a lot of people are going to beat the New York Giants.

00:30They win 28-6 convincingly on the road.

00:33And then we said, oh yeah, well the 49ers are coming to town week number two, fresh

00:38off their blasting the New York Jets on opening night in prime time.

00:42How would they do?

00:43They didn't do that well.

00:44Why?

00:45Because Minnesota won again, 23-17.

00:47So if we're looking at the Minnesota Vikings now, 2-0 on the season.

00:50You take a look at their points scored, 51 points given up, 23.

00:54Their preseason win total was 7.5.

00:55They got two more wins now.

00:57Now it sits at 9.5.

00:58So I want to ask you this question, Dubsy.

01:01Are we believers in the Minnesota Vikings at 2-0?

01:05I'm a believer in Sam Darnold.

01:07So yes, I'm a believer in the Vikings.

01:09This could be the value play going into week three.

01:12And look, they've been tremendous.

01:14You know, they've been doing it in a pretty tough style as well.

01:17They're taking on the 49ers.

01:19Never an easy thing to do, but there's a bit of extra juice there for Sam Darnold going

01:22against his old ball club.

01:24And maybe you can look back at the last couple of years and say, for Sam Darnold, what has

01:27he really been working with?

01:29Has he been set up for success?

01:31You can make the comparison.

01:32It's sort of where, you know, Bryce Young sits right now.

01:35But for Sam Darnold, he was probably the only person sitting back in the offseason going,

01:39this is my time.

01:40I finally got some of the weapons I've been waiting for.

01:43I'm going to get the chance to be the starting quarterback for the Vikings.

01:46You get to work with one of the best wide receivers in the game in Justin Jefferson.

01:50We saw them connect on that deep pass early in that one last week in week two.

01:54So look, he's showing leadership, he's showing maturity, he's showing poise.

01:58For Sam Darnold and the Vikings, they've got to love what they've seen out the gates here.

02:03And they're still waiting on a couple of weapons there as well.

02:05Jordan Addison, TJ Hawkinson, if they can get back in the mix at full health.

02:09Watch out for Minnesota moving forward.

02:11They are going to be a very tough team to try and go through, starting here with week

02:15three for the Houston Jacksons.
