ISRO's A. Rajarajan highlights progress: multiple launches planned in coming years

Bengaluru, Karnataka: A. Rajarajan, Director of Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, highlighted the progress and preparations for future projects. He said, We are on track. a lot of testing is going on. 00:00We are on track. A lot of testing is going on. All the crew SKF systems, all the motors have been tested for the minimum numbers

00:07to give the confidence that the crew SKF systems will definitely work when it is really called, when it is actually called for.

00:15So all those tests are over. Even the first mission for G1 also the crew SKF systems motor assembly is all going on.

00:22So this is on track with respect to the crew SKF system. Vehicle also is getting it, in all aspects getting it.

00:27The idea of Chandrayaan-4 is to put it. Now we went and had a soft landing.

00:33Now the next logical this one is to bring some samples from moon. So do the experiments.

00:39So it also proves the capability to go to moon, reduce the speed and rest.

00:45Then again come up from the moon, take some samples, come back and re-enter earth and reach earth safely.

00:55So this is the old technology of going and coming back as proven and with some samples.

01:00So that is the objectives of Chandrayaan-4. A broad objective. Now we are working on it.

01:04We have finalized on paper and all the aspects. The final thing has to come on.

01:11It will go in one go. Now that is what you are talking about is the new launch pad at Kuleshagirapatnam.

01:16Yeah, the work is going on for the SSLV launches. For southbound mission.

01:21South polar orbit. That at Kuleshagirapatnam is a better place to have SSLV launches.

01:27All the whatever proposed missions like C59, PSLV and GSLV missions.

01:33All those missions we are planning to go ahead and planning.

01:36And some possible if with all the clearances and debris utilization aspect everything has been completed.

01:42I think we are having two or three launches in the coming five months.

01:45In this year maybe one or two launches.
