The best Porsche 963 fielded by the Porsche Penske Motorsport works team will tackle the six-hour race in Austin from the third grid row. In qualifying, Matt Campbell planted the hybrid prototype on position six.

00:00Racing here in Austin is like a playground for the drivers, we have a lot of fun here.

00:19Austin is definitely a cool place, I was fortunate enough to race here the last time WEC raced

00:28in 2020.

00:29Hopefully we can have a good race this weekend, it's going to be tough but it's going to be

00:32nice and warm with the hot conditions and also some changing weather.

00:36So far this year the team has done a great job, coming in on the 6th round of the championship,

00:42leading on the sister car in the manufacturers championship, great position, we need to keep

00:46pushing and keeping the lead.

00:48Yeah I mean today there is quality and hopefully the hyper bowl if we make it into the top

00:5410.

00:56We won 4 out of 5 races as a team, the car is doing really well, hopefully we made the

01:00right steps today and we can fight for the hyper bowl.

01:25Qualifying out there, quite difficult, quite hot track time, for some reason our car is

01:33not behaving the way we want this weekend, it's a 6 hour race tomorrow, we have still

01:38some opportunities to come back.

01:40Qualifying and hyper bowl done here in Austin, P5 in qualifying and P6 in the hyper bowl,

01:59of course we wanted a little bit more but nevertheless still P6, a great starting position

02:03for tomorrow and yeah, let's see, long race.
