00:00
Good afternoon to all of us. This is an update on the weather forecast.
00:04
Last night, we were able to monitor the tropical storm with an international name, Bebinka,
00:09
at an altitude of 1,435 kilometers in the north-east of the extreme northern zone.
00:15
It has a strong wind that reaches up to 85 kilometers per hour in the middle,
00:20
and a storm that reaches up to 105 kilometers per hour.
00:24
It moves north-westward at a speed of 35 kilometers per hour.
00:29
And if we can see in our satellite imagery, it is also in the north-eastern boundary of our PAR,
00:35
and we expect that our Area of Responsibility will enter tonight,
00:40
and we will call it storm C4D.
00:43
And if we can see here, it will only pass through our park,
00:47
so tomorrow morning or early in the morning, we expect that it will also leave our Area of Responsibility.
00:55
Although it is far away and it does not have a direct effect on our Philippine landmass,
01:00
it will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat,
01:05
which will cause heavy rains tonight in parts of Mimaropa, Western Visayas,
01:13
Negros Island Region, and in the western section of Mindanao.
01:16
That is why we are warning our countrymen against flooding and landslides.
01:22
Here in Metro Manila, as well as in other parts of our country,
01:26
we expect that our skies will be cloudy tonight,
01:30
and there is a high chance of heavy rains, landslides, and landslides
01:35
due to the trough or the extension of the storm,
01:38
the so-called tropical storm Bebinca, as well as Habagat.
01:42
So be careful, especially those who are going home to their homes this afternoon until later tonight.
01:49
For tomorrow, because of Habagat,
01:53
parts of Mimaropa, Albay, Sorsogon, and even Masbate
01:58
will continue to experience heavy rains due to Habagat.
02:03
So be careful, our countrymen,
02:05
because of the rains that we expect will lead to floods and landslides.
02:12
Here in Metro Manila, in Calabar Zone, the rest of Bicol Region,
02:16
tomorrow, our skies will be cloudy as well,
02:19
and there will be landslides, landslides, and landslides,
02:23
if there are heavy rains.
02:26
Meanwhile, in Cagayan Valley, as well as Zambales, Bataan Area,
02:31
the extension or trough of the so-called tropical storm Bebinca,
02:35
or Ferdie,
02:36
the possibility of light to moderate to the times heavy rains,
02:40
that is tomorrow,
02:41
so be careful, our countrymen.
02:44
But in Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region,
02:47
and also in the extreme northern Luzon,
02:49
the expected tomorrow will be clear,
02:52
aside from the chances of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
02:56
Our temperature tomorrow in Metro Manila,
02:58
26 to 30 degrees Celsius,
03:00
in Baguio City, 17 to 21 degrees,
03:03
inside, there is still a temperature of 32 degrees in the afternoon.
03:08
Meanwhile, in Taguigarao, because of the rains tomorrow,
03:10
only 26 to 31 degrees is the expected temperature.
03:14
In Legazpi, 25 to 29 degrees Celsius,
03:18
and in Tagaytay, 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:23
In Puerto Princesa and in Calayaan Island,
03:26
the expected temperature is 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.
03:31
Our countrymen,
03:33
particularly here in Western Visayas,
03:36
Negros Island Region,
03:38
will still experience monsoon rains tomorrow.
03:42
This is the continuous downpour of rains
03:44
due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
03:47
So be careful, our countrymen,
03:49
because of the expected rains,
03:51
it is possible for floods and landslides to occur.
03:55
It is also the same here in Central and Eastern Visayas,
03:59
and in the whole region of Mindanao,
04:01
where it is expected to be cloudy skies tomorrow,
04:05
and there will be heavy rains, landslides, and landslides.
04:09
To our countrymen,
04:10
we can visit our social media accounts,
04:13
especially our regional services divisions
04:16
that issue heavy rainfall warnings,
04:19
as well as rainfall advisories and thunderstorm advisories
04:23
to be updated if there is a strong downpour of rains
04:27
in the coming days or in the coming hours.
04:31
We will continue to be safe
04:34
and we will consult our local governments
04:37
to meet our needs
04:40
now that we are expecting a strong downpour of rains.
04:45
Our temperatures tomorrow in Iloilo, Cebu, and Tacloban
04:49
are 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
04:51
In Cagayan de Oro, 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.
04:55
Meanwhile, in Metro Davao, 25 to 32 degrees,
04:58
and in Zamboanga, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
05:03
Let us now discuss the condition of our coastal areas.
05:06
Although we do not have a gale warning
05:08
for any coastal areas,
05:10
we are warning our countrymen
05:13
who will sail in the Eastern Seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao,
05:17
as well as here in the Western Seaboards of Southern Luzon
05:20
or here in the Palawan-Mindoro area,
05:23
and in our inland areas,
05:24
because we are expecting a moderate to rough sea condition
05:28
and possibly a wave height of 3.7 meters.
05:32
And as far as possible,
05:34
our countrymen who are sailing in small boats
05:37
or those who own small boats,
05:39
we do not advise them to sail
05:44
because such waves are very dangerous
05:47
for their safety.
05:50
And as far as elsewhere,
05:52
the moderate or slight to moderate sea condition is possible.
05:57
And here is our latest TC threat potential.
06:01
And if we can see here,
06:03
outside our far, the one with TC,
06:06
this is what we are watching now,
06:08
that a typhoon will come or that it will be severe.
06:10
But we also have, by next week,
06:12
another circulation that we can see
06:14
that could possibly form here in the eastern part of our country.
06:18
And if we can see in our truck,
06:20
it will be far or the truck will be higher.
06:23
So this is not landfalling or possibly this is not landfalling.
06:27
But once this is a typhoon,
06:29
we expect that it will hit the coast again
06:33
where by next week,
06:35
the rains that we experienced will continue,
06:38
especially in Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
06:41
That is why we will continue to monitor the updates
06:44
that are coming out of the forecast.
06:47
And this is what we expect,
06:49
that there will be heavy rains
06:51
or even the areas that we expect
06:54
that will experience heavy rains
06:57
will bring typhoons for the next three days.
07:00
So today until tomorrow afternoon,
07:03
this part of Mimaropa,
07:05
Western Visayas, Sorsogon, and Negros Occidental
07:08
will experience heavy to intense rains
07:13
that will bring typhoons.
07:16
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains
07:18
this evening until tomorrow
07:19
in Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila, Calabarzon,
07:23
the rest of Bicol Region, the rest of Visayas,
07:26
Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Norte,
07:29
Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao,
07:33
Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani.
07:35
Meanwhile, tomorrow afternoon until Sunday afternoon,
07:39
heavy to intense rains,
07:41
100 to 200 mm of rainfall
07:44
that we expect in Mimaropa,
07:47
Aklan, Antique, and Negros Occidental.
07:50
Moderate to heavy rains in Bicol Region,
07:53
the rest of Negros Island Region,
07:55
and the rest of Western Visayas.
07:57
When it comes to Sunday afternoon until Monday afternoon,
08:01
the part of Occidental Mindoro,
08:03
northern portion of Palawan, Aklan, and Antique
08:06
will continue to experience heavy to intense rains.
08:10
And we also expect moderate to heavy rains
08:12
in the southern portion of Quezon,
08:14
the rest of Mimaropa, Camarines Sur,
08:17
Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate,
08:20
Negros Occidental, and in the southern part of Western Visayas.
08:24
In the areas that I mentioned,
08:26
our countrymen are being careful and prepared
08:30
because there is a possibility that
08:32
the next day when it rains,
08:36
it may cause floods and landslides.
08:41
That's why our countrymen are being careful and prepared.
08:47
Our day here in Caminilaan will end at 5.59pm
08:51
and it will be busy again tomorrow at 5.45am.
