Our first look at the 'Dexter' prequel series, 'Dexter: Original Sin,' is here. Paramount+ and Showtime just released the first teaser trailer for the show, as well as revealed when it will premiere.

00:09as well as revealed when it will premiere.

00:11I am a killer, but I wasn't born this way. I was made.

00:17The series is set in 1991 Miami and follows a young Dexter, played by Patrick Gibson,

00:22as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer.

00:25They say it takes a village to raise a killer.

00:29As shown in the teaser, the series includes original Dexter star Michael C. Hall as the

00:33inner voice of the young serial killer in training. According to the show's description,

00:37when Dexter's bloodthirsty urges can't be ignored any longer,

00:40he must learn to channel his inner darkness.

00:42With the guidance of his father, Harry, played by Christian Slater, he adopts a code designed

00:46to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting

00:51on law enforcement's radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a

00:55forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.

00:58The show's cast also includes Molly Brown, Patrick Dempsey,

01:01and special guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar, among others.

01:04Dexter Original Sin will premiere on streaming Friday, December 13th and on-air Sunday,

01:08December 15th. The show is currently in production in Los Angeles on its 10-episode debut season.
