00:00Thanks for joining us, Jacobs, on the couple of days out from the Mininira Grand Final.

00:04You're going to be playing for PENCERS for the first time in a Grand Final.

00:07How are you feeling?

00:08Yeah, pretty good.

00:09I think tomorrow I might get a few nerves, but at this point not feeling too bad.

00:16Pretty keen to get into it.

00:18It's obviously a big thing, pretty exciting for the whole community and the whole club,

00:25and me especially too, being in my first Grand Final.

00:29But yeah, I'm looking really, really looking forward.

00:32You missed out in the 2019 Grand Final side.

00:35Did that spur you on?

00:36Yeah, I reckon.

00:37Yeah, just missed out playing that Grand Final.

00:41But I think it definitely gave me a lot more hunger and a lot more motivation and whatever

00:48to keep going and try a bit harder and really give it a bit more of a crack.

00:54But yeah, I think this year hopefully we can come away with a win, but I think nevertheless

01:00it'll be a good game.

01:02And when you were younger you had an accident with a lawnmower and had to have your foot amputated.

01:07Can you tell us a little bit about that and how you were able to bounce back and get into

01:11a lot of sports?

01:12Yeah.

01:13Yeah, so that happened when I was seven in 2008.

01:20And I had to get my foot amputated, but the doctors all said that because it happened

01:27when I was so young, I just sort of learned to do everything with it.

01:30So it was sort of a good thing that happened at the time it did.

01:36So it's sort of just been quite easy for me to get in and do new things and new sports

01:44and everything like that.

01:46It just sort of comes naturally to me, which has sort of been good.

01:54And I guess playing football with a brace and a prosthetic foot is quite unique, but

02:00how do you find that on a day-to-day basis out there?

02:05It's good and bad.

02:08Sometimes it can cause a bit of grief, but I think the most annoying thing that has been

02:15playing with it was probably just if I break it or if it falls off.

02:20It's fallen off a couple of times and everyone sort of looks around and then I get back up

02:25and put it back on.

02:26They have a bit of a laugh.

02:27But yeah, I think it's just something I've grown up with and it's become normal to me,

02:34so I haven't really had any issues with it.

02:37And how important is it for you to be able to play footy with your mates and for your hometown?

02:41Yeah, very important, I think.

02:42It's good to get out there and get amongst the community and do something that means

02:49a lot to the club and the history of the club.

02:55And yeah, just all the camaraderie and friendship and hopefully add to that history on Saturday.

03:02But yeah, it definitely means a lot to be playing a part in it.

03:07And what role are you hoping to play on the weekend?

03:09Well, during the year I've been down at full forward, rotating with Josh Wrench at centre

03:16half forward.

03:17So hopefully, yeah, I'll start at full forward again and then see what happens during the

03:23day.

03:24But yeah, hopefully I'll kick a few goals.

03:26And it's the 150th year for Penrith Football Club as well.

03:29How significant would it be to win a flag in a milestone year?

03:32Yeah, very, very big.

03:34It's actually my 100th game, 100th senior game on the grand final too.

03:38But yeah, definitely 150 years with the club, I reckon it'll be massive.

03:43We've had a lot of support this year with all the fans and everything coming to watch

03:50and everyone sort of coming together and helping out where they can and making it such a memorable

03:57year and everything for everyone.

03:59So yeah, it's been really good.
