00:07this year against the number two overall pick from a season ago, the Offensive Rookie of

00:12the Year favorite in Caleb Williams against the guy who is the reigning hardware owner

00:17in CJ Stroud.

00:19Sunday Night Football in Houston.

00:22The Texans playing host to the Bears in Houston, nearly a full touchdown favorite laying six

00:28and a half at home, total at 46 and a half.

00:32Both teams 1-0.

00:33In fact, Chicago's the only team that covered in week one out of these two.

00:37Joe, what do you make of the numbers for Sunday Night in H-Town?

00:41Yeah, well, it kind of makes sense, doesn't it?

00:45The thing that impressed me the most with the Texans, and we had mentioned it really

00:51was the defense and special teams that saved the day for the Chicago Bears, Caleb Williams

00:56and a 55.7 passer rating is not going to move the needle, 14 of 29 for 93.

01:03What was very impressive for Houston was the 213 total rushing yards, which was about 28

01:10yards more than anybody else had had on the ground there, Ben, as a team.

01:15And welcome Joe Mixon, who was one in addition.

01:19He turned out to be there.

01:21Texans at home feel like they are going to welcome the rookie quarterback there, no problem,

01:28and show you once again that the best quarterback in the draft over the last two years is the

01:33one under center for the Houston Texans.

01:35Yeah, it's going to be really interesting, I think, in terms of how this game plays out.

01:40I give the edge to Houston, but here's one of the things that I find fascinating.

01:43The Texans are now no longer the team that came out of nowhere, that had a win total

01:48of six and a half, and we're not expected to even have a remotely close to winning record

01:52and won the AFC South, and we saw that start to develop for Houston throughout the home

01:57stretch of last season, booked as a favorite much more often than they were in the first

02:0310 weeks or so of the 2023 NFL season.

02:06The Texans, three and a half point road favorite last week to kick off 2024 in Indianapolis,

02:12one of the highest scoring games of the weekend, 29-27, Houston wins.

02:17But they don't cover.

02:18With CJ Stroud as the quarterback, Joe, the Texans are just three and six against the

02:23spread as a favorite.

02:25I think Chicago keeps this game closer.

02:28I think Houston wins outright.

02:30I'm not even sure it's decided by just a field goal, and it is under that key number of seven,

02:36but I could see a 24-20 type of game, and of course, a lot of focus will be on Caleb

02:41Williams having to perform oh, so much better than he did on Sunday at Soldier Field.

02:47Yeah.

02:48Not much.

02:49Going to have to be much, much better here, and I think they're going to have to figure

02:53out a way to run the ball a little bit better there, Ben.

02:56They're going to have to take the pressure off this kid, and they are not going to want

03:01to get into any sort of shootout here with Houston.

03:04That secondary of the Bears going to be really tested with those wide receivers of Houston

03:12I worry that they're going to get down early, and then Caleb Williams is going to have to

03:17drop back 40 times in the game, Ben, and that is a recipe for disaster and a blowout.
