Kim Moore, of Bird & Blend Tea Co, shows new Sheffield shop

Bird & Blend Tea Co has opened on Pinstone Street.  The firm sells 100 flavours including Birthday Cake, Chocolate Digestives, Builders Breakfast Brew and Earl Grey Crème. Six jobs have been created.  Kim Moore explains what it offers.

00:00Hi, I'm Kim, I work for Bed & Blend Tea and have done for the last three and a half years and we're here in Sheffield

00:05We just opened on Saturday. So we're really excited to meet everybody in Sheffield

00:09So we've actually created six jobs by opening this shop here in Bed & Blend in Sheffield

00:15And since opening weekend, we literally opened at 12.30 on Saturday and we've had a massive weekend

00:21We can't believe how many people have come in

00:23You know, they're really excited that there's a tea shop here because there used to be one here a few years ago

00:27So everyone's really excited that we're bringing tea back to the city

00:37So Bed & Blend, we specialise in loose leaf tea blends, but interesting loose leaf tea blends

00:41So we have blends such as rhubarb and custard, butter topping popcorn, bells breakfast. So we try and do kind of fun

00:49Imaginative things of tea and everything that we do we are B Corp certified. So everything we do is ethical and sustainable as well

01:02We do very innovative things with tea here at Bed & Blend so things that we do we do like tea lattes

01:08So where you would normally use an espresso to make a coffee latte

01:11We use a really concentrated version of tea to make a concentrate which is just super strong tea

01:16And then we add loads of frothy milk to the top of it to make a tea latte
