The Royal Gun Salute on Monday 9 September 2024 at Edinburgh Castle, marking the 2nd Anniversary of the Accession of His Majesty The King, will be General Alastair’s last ceremonial event. General Alastair will fire the iconic One O’clock Gun and take his final Salute in the prestigious role of Governor of Edinburgh Castle.
