00:00And also just in terms of narrative, you're talking about sort of personal identity as a narrative?

00:04That's part of it. That's one of it, is your personal identity.

00:09Probably the narratives that nations, they create about themselves to forge an identity,

00:16but sometimes those narratives are hidden, are hiding ugly truths.

00:23You know, that when they come up to the surface,

00:26they create a certain amount of trauma in different cultures, you know?

00:33So the whole thing of narrative, because narrative as the beginning of the whole piece,

00:44Christiane Amanpour says, beware of narrative and form,

00:50because narrative and form can be amazing tools for knowledge.

00:56And education, but also can be very powerful tools for manipulation.

01:04I would also imagine that it can be powerful tools,

01:06because we come into narrative with biases that we possess, right?

01:11And we are looking for things that conform to those biases.

01:13Well, that is part of, that is exactly, that is why the most interesting thing in a film

01:20is the narrative between the audience and their own perception of things

01:27and the narrative presented to them.
