00:00The whole cast and you, Mr. Lee, are obviously awards-worthy.

00:04You are sitting with the awards editor for Variety.

00:06But I have to ask you, because I think we're going to be hearing your name a lot this season,

00:12worthy of a Best Actress nomination.

00:14If you were nominated, you would only be the fourth black actress to return for another nomination.

00:20Damn!

00:21The fourth ever. And I wanted to know how that would make you feel.

00:25By the way, it's Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Angela Bassett are the other three.

00:29Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's interesting.

00:31Again, though, what is beautiful about working in this way is it's not result-based.

00:38It's all about the process.

00:40So I find it very difficult to even think about that stuff because I've already won doing that.

00:47Having the courage to be able to sort of like hand it over to somebody who you know is going to look after you,

00:55being brave, you know, and just working really, really hard.

01:01So that's my answer to that.

01:04I mean, this is probably out of order to say this, but Marianne was nominated for Best Supporting Actress

01:14in the Oscars for Secrets and Lies.

01:16She should have won.

01:18She should have won.

01:21And the person who did win that particular honour came off having done her interviews backstage,

01:31came back into the auditorium, walked straight over to Marianne and said,

01:35you should have won this. That has to be the record.

01:38Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah.
