00:13I thought for sure you were gonna make

00:17Like I thought that was like locked and loaded.

00:21Well, look, sometimes it's the obvious one

00:23is the right one.

00:24Let's, you know, not pretend like it's right.

00:25It's the whole thing.

00:27I didn't realize we still had pretense.

00:30Here's the thing with McCaffrey.

00:32It was calf, calf, calf.

00:33Now it's Achilles.

00:35Now I get it.

00:37Part of the leg, everything's connected, blah, blah, blah.

00:39But that would have been good information, I think,

00:41for all of us to have if the Achilles

00:43was also bothering him.

00:45We've seen a lot of Achilles injuries the last few years.

00:47So of course you're starting Christian McCaffrey.

00:49I mean, that goes without saying.

00:51Is he gonna be on a little bit more of a pitch count?

00:52Maybe.

00:53Now Elijah Mitchell's not gonna be a guy to help with that.

00:55Jordan Mason would be the other guy, too.

00:57So that would be frustrating.

00:58You get a lot of McCaffrey work,

00:59and then maybe get to the goal line to give him a break,

01:01and then all of a sudden it's Jordan Mason.

01:06But you're starting him.

01:09You're holding your breath, I think, most of this season

01:11when it comes to Christian McCaffrey.

01:12But it's 417 touches total last year

01:15between the regular season and the postseason.

01:19There's a lot of touches.

01:20Historically speaking, the next year does not go well

01:22for guys who cross that 400 threshold.

01:24It's not that they can't be good.

01:26It's just typically they aren't great,

01:28no matter how great they were the year before.

01:31And I know Christian McCaffrey's special.

01:32I'm not trying to take shots at Christian McCaffrey.

01:34He has been unbelievable in his career.

01:37Yeah, there were a couple years where he was hurt

01:38and you missed some time, and that's fine.

01:41We don't have to live in that past either,

01:42but it's still a huge workload.

01:44It's still a beginning of the season

01:46where he's picked up a leg injury.

01:48So it's just something to understand

01:49that maybe you want a little bit more insurance.

01:51Maybe if you have McCaffrey this year, it's not the,

01:53well, it's McCaffrey, he's my hero RB,

01:55and I'm just gonna go whatever,

01:57running back the rest of the time.

01:58You need to have a roster

02:00that's got some running back depth,

02:01just in case McCaffrey isn't right in certain weeks.

02:04If he plays 17 games this year, I'd be surprised.

02:08So just be prepared.

02:10But look, he's full steam ahead, full go for week one.

02:14You're playing him, you're hoping for the best.

02:17But the Achilles, that was a little bit of information

02:19that, again, would have been helpful to me yesterday.
