It was a golden day for Australia on day nine of the Paralympics where we won
00:08
three gold medals and a sneaky bronze. Long jumper Vanessa Lowe reckons
00:12
motherhood is her superpower and with her little son Matteo watching from the
00:16
stands she jumped a world record on her way to gold. She flew 5.45 meters on her
00:22
first jump and when it was all over she rushed to the fence to hug her son and
00:26
her husband and coach Scott Reardon. She wasn't sure after her gold medal in
00:30
Tokyo that she'd be able to combine family life and athletics but she proved
00:34
overnight that anything is possible. Lauren Parker continued her amazing
00:39
games too. She won the women's h14 cycling road race finishing four minutes
00:44
ahead of her nearest competitor. Another gold medal in her luggage after winning
00:48
the triathlon as well as a silver in the time trial. She'll have to watch out for
00:52
those excess baggage fees. In the pool Tim Hodge led from start to finish in
00:57
the men's sm9 200 meter individual medley. He was never going to let this
01:02
one slip and Samuel von Eymann lost his table tennis final but still took home
01:06
a bronze. We're on the homestretch in Paris but there's still plenty of Aussies
01:10
in medal contention so stay tuned.
