00:00Popular dim sum eatery Dolly Dim Sum has clarified that while its branches are not yet halal certified,

00:08its central kitchen, which supplies ingredients to all outlets, is certified halal by JAKIM.

00:14In a statement, the restaurant said it is in the process of obtaining certification

00:19for its individual branches. Yesterday, JAKIM also confirmed that Johnny's,

00:24Black Canyon, Mr. Dakgalbi, Ungkus Kaukau, and Ayam Penyet Best are not halal certified.

00:31However, four Ayam Penyet Best outlets have obtained halal certification.

00:36The restaurant also confirmed that its central kitchen has been certified since 2012.

00:42Meanwhile, Johnny's and Black Canyon assured customers that their ingredients are from

00:47halal certified suppliers and that no alcohol is used in food preparation.

00:52The restaurants also said they are in the process of obtaining halal certification

00:57for their central kitchens and outlets.
