01:20quarterback is I don't believe it one I think he's hopefully he's going to tell you that there's

01:26a clear and strong reason for it I mean he was a talked about a lot he's on he was on here Monday

01:33morning with us talking about how Drake May had outplayed Jacoby Brissett so there must be if

01:39you're going to sit a guy who you you you spent the capital on to make him the number three pick

01:47there must be a a very significant reason why you're going to sit a guy in favor of somebody

01:53that he has outplayed because Alex Van Pelt feels like Jacoby Brissett has a better understanding

02:01and handle on the offense that's that's it and Alex Van Pelt was given the power to make that

02:08decision because Elliot Wolfe hired him as the offensive coordinator I I think like fans are

02:15really disappointed by this based on so dumb based on the text messages like somebody says

04:48the number all overall the overall number three pick in the draft who's a starting quarter who's

04:54a quarterback and you need one badly isn't going to be starting for this team the only thing the

05:01only thing that I can say in Wolf's defense is the offensive line is so bad they don't want their

05:08number one and overall third pick in the draft getting absolutely annihilated in the first three

05:15games yeah I get that we talked about that Wiggy says all the time though if if it is that bad and

05:21that's what is what the result's going to be then you're just going to have to put Drake May

05:25anyway put Drake May in anyway when when Jacoby Brissett gets hurt so right kind of like a true

05:43if your plan was to have Jacoby Brissett be the starter for this football team Wiggy you

06:04of Drake May the best thing for May is to sit that's why this is the right move even if it

06:20know it's a process uh as far as selecting who the starting quarterback is uh we have decided or I

06:26have decided that Jacoby Brissett will be our starting quarterback uh this season now in saying

06:31that as an organization we're 100 behind Jacoby there is no um you know you got a guy right here

06:37you got a guy right there we're 100 behind Jacoby and um I had an opportunity to talk to Drake I had

06:43an opportunity to talk to Jacoby separately and also together um and I feel like we're all on the

06:49same page from an organizational perspective you said you know that you had the decision

06:55and it was your decision what ultimately led you to Jacoby Brissett yeah there are a lot of factors

07:00uh that led to this choice I think you know the hard part is thinking in the short term and the

07:04long term at the same time um as an organization though we feel like Jacoby gives us our best

07:09chance to win right now I don't I don't want to get into hypotheticals um you know we can't go

07:20into the season saying well he's going to go x amount of weeks like look as long as Jacoby's

07:24going out there performing the way that we all have confidence in in him doing uh he'll be our

07:28quarterback this season thanks appreciate it so did anybody say like so is Drake your backup

07:39I guess at this point it really doesn't matter it does matter

07:43he was out there for a minute 20 what are we doing yeah it's bizarre well you saw is it some

07:49kind of like is there some kind of circus Barnum and Bailey strategy going on here to get everybody's

07:58interest up and I mean is nobody's interested anymore you lost it all like you had it you had
