00:00It was a rain-soaked afternoon yesterday over there in Cleveland, and the revamp continues

00:08for the Kansas City Royals.

00:10The Royals, as dogs, getting the 6-1 victory over the Guardians.

00:14It was only last season the Royals lost 106 games in the regular season.

00:20This was a much-needed win, and they now sit up top along the Guardians in the AL Central

00:25standings.

00:28Kansas City with another victory over the Guardians, and it looks like they now are

00:32the best team there in the AL Central, which is something we probably weren't talking about

00:37a couple weeks ago.

00:38We knew Kansas City was having a good season, but it looked like Cleveland, with that 5-6-7

00:42game lead in the Central, was just going to run away with this.

00:44Now, Cleveland is in the fight of their lives just to stay with the Kansas City Royals.

00:49But how about Lorenzen yesterday on the mound?

00:50Only an inning and two-thirds pitched yesterday, which led us to six total pitchers, which

00:56isn't the strength of the Kansas City Royals.

00:58The bullpen, they were wonderful, giving up one run to the Cleveland Guardians and three

01:04total hits.

01:05We're starting to buy into this Kansas City Royals roster.

01:07I like the 1-9, serviceable starting pitching that has veterans and some young guys in there

01:13learning to win on the way, and in a game where Bobby Witt Jr. doesn't dominate, only

01:17one for four with no RBI, and you're still picking up wins by five runs against division

01:23rivals on the road.

01:24This is a great stretch right now for the Royals.
