‘Habagat’ persists, bringing scattered rains to parts of the Philippines

00:00Earlier at 3 o'clock, the typhoon that we are monitoring outside our Area of Responsibility, Typhoon Shan-Shan,

00:08was last seen at a distance of 1,980 kilometers east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon.

00:14According to our latest analysis, we did not see that it will enter our Area of Responsibility.

00:20As of now, it has no direct effect on any part of our country.

00:25Meanwhile, Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, is still in the northern part of southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

00:32Where today, it will still have a high chance of rain.

00:36It will flow and settle here in some parts of southern Luzon, even in the northern part of Visayas and Mindanao.

00:44So be careful for our countrymen there in the possibility of flooding and landslides.

00:50Meanwhile, we are also monitoring cloud clusters here in the northern part of southern Luzon,

00:57where we are continuously monitoring for these floods,

01:01in the possibility of a circulation and a low-pressure area.
