00:00All right, so what about this trade that the Eagles ended up making, getting Jayhan Dotson

00:07sending out some picks here to go along with AJ Brown and Devonta Smith.

00:14I'm not sure why they made this trade.

00:16I felt like their wide receiving room was deep enough, but I guess, is it possible that

00:23they just didn't like their 3-4-5?

00:25Is that why they made this move?

00:26You don't see this happen in the division that often.

00:31So yeah, the Eagles, actually, Craig, they really struggled at their number three job.

00:35There were two issues that they had.

01:01And Britton Covey, their punt returner, who's had a great camp, he's smaller, he's 5'8",

01:06So they weren't comfortable with it, is my understanding.

01:09They were looking at possible trades, and they found one.

01:13I'm told here with Jahan Dotson, the former first-rounder for the Commanders, did not

01:18practice well.

01:19Clearly, it just wasn't happening.

01:21I would say, I don't think it's the front office liking him, and the coaches not.

01:26I think it's both were aligned on this.

01:29They wanted to move him.

01:30One team told me they were motivated, talking to them, they clearly wanted to move the player.

01:35And it's just very odd, though.

01:37And Dotson's very talented.

01:38He had a very good rookie season when he wasn't hurt.

01:40The trade inside your own division, and by the way, they're not very deep, Washington.

01:45They've been linked to Brandon Ayuk for three months.

01:48I know for a fact that they had talks with the Niners around the draft.

01:51They didn't get anything done.

01:52They had been out for a while.

01:54But I'd watch them.

01:55They're going to have to do something.

01:56I get that they didn't want Dotson.

01:58Remember, this group, Craig didn't draft him.

02:19That's a team that I think will be on the lookout for a receiver by week one.
