In 1971, 27-years old German guitarist Volker Kriegel, still a member of the Dave Pike Set, found the way to release his second album "Spectrum". Difficult album to define with its disparate influences, the music ranges from jazz-rock to folk as well as to free, and even to Indian music with the use of sitar. Beautiful dance games in smoldering keys, fantastic cello lines, complex percussive rhythms and of course virtuoso guitar playing adorned with soulful caprices.
Volker Kriegel - guitar, sitar. John Taylor - electric piano. Peter Trunk - bass, acoustic bass, cello. Cees See - percussion. Peter Baumeister - drums, percussion.
Zoom. So long, for now. More about D. Suspicious child, growing up. Instant judgement. Ach Kina. Strings revisited.
