Muralist Sophi Odling on coming to The Big Picture Fest in Newcastle

Internationally-known muralist Sophi Odling is coming to The Big Picture Fest in Newcastle in September to paint a big wall in Newcastle West.

00:03I'm Sophie and I'm a city-based artist that paints large-scale murals.

00:09Why do you love food art itself?

00:13I just love art in general.

00:15I think that to be able to not only create large-scale artworks,

00:20but to give something to certain areas and to transform spaces

00:25is something that is really great for Australia and for people there.

00:29Yes, and will we be able to find your work in Newcastle at some stage?

00:34Yes, we will be at the end of September.

00:37We'll be teaching it.
