00:07First up in central Lancashire, Glaston and Ferret, the original indoor turfed festival,

00:13is on at the Ferret in Preston between Thursday August 22nd and Sunday August 25th.

00:19Back for its 17th year, organisers say it will be bigger and better than ever. Expect

00:25four days filled with a massive live music line-up, real grass, hay bales and festival

00:30decker installed throughout the inside of the venue, guest craft ales, cider and summer

00:35drinks on tap, festival food vendors, DJ sessions and crafty stalls in the extended outdoor

00:41area and late night after parties through to the early hours.

00:46Tickets are available now with a four day pass costing £66 and day tickets ranging

00:50from £16.50 to £22.

00:53Over on the Fylde Coast, it is the Lithum International Film Festival between Friday

00:59August 23rd and Sunday August 25th.

01:03Taking place at Loughborough Pavilion, the early event promises a weekend of cinematic

01:07excellence, showcasing the best up-and-coming creative talent from around the world.

01:13The festival screens a three-day programme of short and feature films alongside live

01:18Q&A sessions with filmmakers, industry talks, celebrity appearances and a public awards

01:24show.

01:25There will also be entertainment and food and drink.

01:28Tickets cost £16 for one day or £40 for a weekend pass.

01:34Up in Lancaster, the Lancaster Art Fair, which ran for the first time in summer 2023, is

01:40back at the Story Gallery between Tuesday August 20th and Saturday August 24th.

01:46Running between 10am and 4pm, the fair wants to celebrate art in Lancaster and get people

01:52of all ages involved in doing something creative.

01:55There will be a selection of 17 talented artists showcasing their work, with original work

02:01and prints for sale.

02:02There will also be free activity tables, a community art wall and free workshops between

02:0811am and 3pm, thanks to funding from Lancaster BID.

02:12The event is suitable for the whole family, and it's free entry.

02:17Over in East Lancashire, it's the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival between Friday August

02:2223rd and Sunday August 25th.

02:26Now in its 33rd year, the festival promises three incredible days of live music across

02:30the town of Colne, with over 50 performers taking to the stage across three venues this

02:35year.

02:36The event will showcase the very best of blues music in the UK right now.

02:40There will also be a fun fair, street performers, food vendors and an official Fringe Festival,

02:45with performers at 13 fringe venues as well.

02:49Tickets are available now, with a full festival pass costing £110.

02:53There are also day passes and camping tickets available.

02:57Finally, just outside of Lancashire, on Sunday August 25th, the Ashton Brewing Music Festival

03:04is on at the Barton Group Music Stadium in Wigan.

03:07Describing itself as a family fun day festival, organisers say there will be a great line

03:12up of bands from 1pm to 9pm, a licensed bar and award winning food from the dugout.

03:18There will also be face painting and games for the kids, as well as local vendors.

03:24Tickets are £10 per person, but under 12s go free with an accompanying adult.
