00:06Bangalore. On the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week, I would like to share a few tips and

00:12tricks for newborn mom. Often newborn moms will be stressed out like on the breastfeeding

00:18because it's new for you. So what are the tips and tricks? So do not get stressed out

00:23because milk production will not happen the moment the baby is born. Usually it will take

00:292-3 days for the milk flow to establish. But first 2 days there will be something called

00:35the colostrum. So that is enough for the baby. It has good immunity and it protects the baby

00:40for that. Second thing is, you try to eat well and drink enough. Then milk production will be

00:47good. Relax as much as possible. When baby is sleeping, you also try to sleep. Now parenting

00:54is a trial in the first 2-3 days. Because what happens, sometimes the episode of feeding can

01:01last up to 30-40 minutes also. So what you should be doing, how do you know whether milk is enough

01:07or not? First of all, if baby is passing urine normally and the diapers are wet, so that means

01:13baby is getting enough milk. Plus the pediatricians will regularly check the baby's weight also. So

01:18we know whether baby is getting enough milk. Then how do we know whether baby is hungry?

01:23That is another common question. So usually we suggest something called demand feed.

01:27The baby will give some food when the baby is hungry.
