'Pet Olympics' takes place in California

00:34This is puppy wrestling, although there doesn't seem to be any actual wrestling involved.

00:39And this is the bunny rabbit shot put, which definitely does not involve the throwing of

00:45any bunnies. This animal centre in San Diego stages all kinds of events like this to draw

00:51attention to our furry and not so furry friends. There's the surf dog surf-a-thon, which is

00:58sort of self-explanatory. And then there's the puppy prom, an excuse to make the cute

01:03even cuter. The hope is all these animals will find new owners, overcoming any obstacles
