00:10Mohamed Shah Firdaus Sahram's second Olympics appearance in Paris.

00:14The 36-year-old Azizul Hasni congratulated the 28-year-old for his achievement in reaching

00:20the men's Kirin final on Sunday.

00:22Hinting that the Paris Games was his last Olympics and Shah Firdaus will continue his

00:27legacy, Azizul Hasni said the baton has been passed to his successor to fight on in the

00:32next Olympic Games in 2028.

00:35He said it was not easy for Shah Firdaus to enter the Kirin final at the Olympics.

00:40He said Shah Firdaus was eliminated in the quarter-finals in the Tokyo Olympics, but

00:45this time his appearance in the final was an outstanding performance.

00:49He said Shah Firdaus was on his way to bring home at least a bronze medal in the remaining

00:54100 metres of the race before being taken out by Japan's Shinji Nakano, taking down

00:59Britain's Jack Carlin in the process.

01:02He said Shah Firdaus' performance was one that Malaysians should be proud of and he

01:06hoped his team-mate will use the four years from now to prepare for the Los Angeles Games.

01:16in 2016 and a silver medal in Tokyo in 2021.
