Paris Olympics: Day 15 wrap

00:00We're almost at the finish line of the Paris Olympic Games and a couple of silvers for
00:06Australia overnight. We'll start with Jessica Hull. She was struggling to hold back the
00:10tears the moment she saw the message from her mum. It was a photo of Jess when she was
00:14about 12 years old at state championships with the message, do it for this little girl
00:19tonight. So inside star de France at the Olympic Games, she did just that. Hull rallied to
00:24finish second and claimed silver in the women's 1500 metre final, Australia's second silver
00:29of the day after the women's water polo team lost in their gold medal game. So for the
00:34first time in 20 years and only the third time in history, Australia has claimed 50
00:39medals at the Olympic Games. But the day belonged to Team USA. They stole the show with golds
00:45in men's basketball with LeBron James and Steph Curry firing them to a win over France.
00:51They swept the 4x400 metre relays and they won gold in women's soccer as well. But China's
00:57clean sweep in diving pushes them to the top of the medal count with one day remaining.
01:01Australia still has medal hopes in cycling and the women's marathon and the Opals will
01:06play for bronze tonight.
