Southwest Monsun continues to be a hot spot in the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao regions.
00:10
Compared to the cloudy skies and the high chance of heavy rains,
00:15
there is a lot of sunshine in the western section of Luzon.
00:18
In the areas of Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan,
00:24
we expect continuous rains in the mentioned areas.
00:29
That's why in these areas, we should be prepared for floods and landslides
00:34
if we are to experience continuous rains.
00:37
It is more likely in the time that we expect in Metro Manila and other parts of our country.
00:43
Even so, early morning thunderstorms are still possible here in the western section of a large part of Luzon,
00:51
the western section of Visayas, and Mindanao.
00:54
For the remainder of the day, the weather will be clear,
00:57
but thunderstorms are still possible in the late afternoon to evening.
01:01
Over the weekend until early next week,
01:03
we expect high chances of floods and landslides in the northern part of Luzon.
01:11
Meanwhile, we expect improving weather conditions starting in the middle of next week
01:16
in the areas of Palawan and Occidental Mindoro.
01:20
This will continue to be clear for the time being, from cloudy to cloudy skies,
01:24
with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in a large part of Visayas and Mindanao
01:31
for the next three to five days.
01:33
At present, we still do not have a low-pressure area
01:38
or time inside and outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility
01:42
that could affect our country in the coming days.
01:47
As for the weather conditions here in Luzon,
01:51
due to heavy rainfall,
01:53
we still expect high chances of floods in the Ilocos region,
01:58
areas of Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro.
02:02
So, we should be prepared for possible floods in these areas.
02:06
It will be clearer here in Metro Manila and in the isolated areas of Luzon.
02:10
However, I repeat, early morning thunderstorms are still possible.
02:14
So, these floods will only be temporary
02:17
and the weather conditions will be clearer from morning to evening.
02:22
So, we expect the weather conditions to be warm and clear for the remainder of the day.
02:26
However, when it comes to late afternoon to evening,
02:29
there are still chances of early floods and thunderstorms.
02:33
So, it is still better to bring an umbrella,
02:35
just remove it in the rain,
02:37
this early morning and later in the afternoon.
02:40
Maximum temperature forecast for this day is wide.
02:43
It is possible to reach 31 degrees Celsius.
02:46
It is 23 degrees Celsius here in Baguio City
02:49
and 34 degrees Celsius in Tagagarao.
02:52
Maximum temperature forecast for Metro Manila today is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius.
02:58
It is 31 degrees Celsius in the area of Tagaytay
03:00
and 32 degrees Celsius in the area of Legazpi.
03:05
In the areas of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
03:08
because of the floods, we also expect scattered thunderstorms in the areas of Palawan.
03:14
So, in Puerto Princesa and Calayan Islands,
03:16
we expect that a large part of Palawan will experience floods caused by floods.
03:21
Meanwhile, in the western section of Visayas and Mindanao,
03:25
isolated thunderstorms are still possible.
03:28
So, in the areas of Maulap to Maulap na Papawirin,
03:31
we expect that as early as this afternoon,
03:33
we will experience floods.
03:35
It is possible that there will be quick rains caused by these thunderstorm clouds
03:39
in the late afternoon to evening.
03:42
So, in the areas of western Visayas, Negros Islands, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Bar Matsukusa,
03:48
we expect that later in the afternoon, there will be a high chance of thunderstorm activity.
03:53
It is more likely that we will experience this in the rest of Visayas and rest of Mindanao.
03:58
However, we are still prepared for quick rains or isolated rain showers.
04:04
Maximum temperature forecast for Calayan Islands and Puerto Princesa today
04:08
is possible to reach 32°C.
04:11
It is also 32°C in the areas of Iloilo and Tacloban,
04:15
and 33°C in the area of Cebu.
04:19
Maximum temperature forecast for Cagayan de Oro today
04:22
is possible to reach 32°C.
04:25
It is also 33°C in the area of Davao,
04:28
and 33°C in the area of Zamboanga.
04:32
As for the condition of our ocean,
04:34
there are still no high-level gale warnings in any areas of our islands,
04:38
and it is expected that the waves will be moderate
04:42
in most parts of our country.
04:44
However, our fellow fishermen should still be careful
04:48
because if there is an offshore thunderstorm activity,
04:51
especially here in the western section of our country,
04:54
because the sea level is decreasing,
04:55
so most likely, the chances of thunderstorms in the western section are high.
04:59
We should still be prepared for strong winds
05:05
that will also affect our waves.
