00:00Yesterday I got the bad news that my grandfather died, he was kind of the reason that I started

00:09cycling at the first place.

00:13I was not riding alone today, I lost both my grandfathers in three months, so I hope

00:19they watch together to the race today.

00:23And the court took the lead of the race by one solitary second.

00:31And so it comes down to this, the final day of a magnificent race, Destination Bordeaux.

00:40Who would win?

00:41Well, the great thing about this race is we never quite know.

00:45Big kicker at the end, that was going to define the day, plus intermediate sprints that would

00:49garner bonus seconds.

00:51Who would be brave enough to take it on?

00:53That was the big question.

00:55Well, we had six souls who were prepared to dig in and go for it, and they shared the

01:00spoils for much of the day.

01:03The gap never really allowed to get too impressive.

01:07It was rocking up to around about three and a half to four minutes at one point, but really

01:11this was a race and a day that was always going to be about a grand finale.

01:16And what an amazing backdrop, yet again, for us to enjoy.

01:21A brave breakaway did their very best.

01:25Could they possibly have an option on victory on this day?

01:30It would all come down to that ultimate test and the hellish ramps that would define the

01:35day as it always seems to do here in Norway.

01:40Last year was separated by just a solitary second.

01:42How close could it possibly get on this, our grand finale?

01:49The backdrops, the scenery had it all, only to be matched by the drama of the finale.

01:55Swirling, rocking and rolling up the big inclines to our grand final line, where we'd find our

02:03champion.

02:04It was all about the climb.

02:06The final circuit, absolutely defining, just 9.7 kilometers in length, bonus seconds up

02:12for grabs, but really it was a question of survival for the breakaway.

02:16They'd done so much for so long.

02:19Decision time with some stars on their case.

02:24This is Gregar bidding for glory here.

02:27Could he possibly pull off something absolutely spectacular with a stage win?

02:31There's no way he's going to indeed take the lead of the race.

02:34That's now long gone.

02:35It's only a very modest margin to the peloton, but he's got a chance here.

02:40We've had surprises and Jonas Gregar might well indeed just deliver this.

02:46Fantastic stuff.

02:47Comes around the outside, 600 meters to go.

02:49It does level out, but only on the last 25 meters.

02:52The hardest part of this course is still to come and he's going for it.

02:58It looks like Magnus Court is in a perfect position to deliver the hammer blow that will

03:02of course make sure that nobody else comes around him at the very last.

03:11Gregar still eating into this, 200 meters to go.

03:14He's got about another 150 to go.

03:16The camera's going to pan back and you're going to see those who are chasing him down.

03:44He is going to be king of the hill, top of the pile.

03:47He is going to be our race winner.

03:49He is emerging now as a spectacular punchy rider.

03:56Is he going to lose out at the very last?

03:58I don't think he's going to get there.

04:16I told my girlfriend she is moving to Bordeaux here in two weeks.

04:23It's almost a home race for me now with my girlfriend.

04:26She will be living here, working in the hospital.

04:29That's very nice.

04:35He got the win he'd been looking for.

04:38After the disappointment of the day prior.

04:41Court taking it ahead of Champuzat.

04:43Fast finishing like a rocket ship.

04:45Christian Boccamus and Schmidt rounding out the top five.

04:49It meant the title and of course the world to Magnus Court.

04:53Victory by a margin of 17 seconds over the vaulting Champuzat with the mark making up

04:58the podium.

04:59He also took the points of course.

05:01So in gold and blue, Magnus Court holding court here in Norway.

05:09And of course our king of the mountains man had to pick up half a kilo of salmon as well.

05:15Johanik, victorious, twice the margin of the nearest man and Kevin Vermaak, our young rider

05:21classification winner by a solitary second over Schmidt.
