I watched oldest cup contest at oldest ground, Hallam, in Sheffield

I went to watch the oldest football competition, the FA Cup, in the world at the oldest football ground in the world, Hallam FC, and was amazed by who was there.

00:00I'm going to take in a bit of football history today because it's Hallam versus Lower Breck

00:06in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round today. So I'm going to have a look at the match and see

00:10what the experience is like at Hallam's ground, Sandgate, which is of course the oldest football

00:16ground still in use in the country. So that's great! I paid six quid to get in and I saw three

00:24goals and saw some entertaining football in a stadium that was pretty nice. It's not enormous

00:31but it's got all the facilities that you want and it was entertaining and I wasn't the only

00:38one there. There were nearly 700 people there and that's the start of the FA Cup for this year and

00:43I enjoyed it. I asked some of the fans after the game how they enjoyed watching Hallam.

01:38world. Have you come especially for this from Kuwait? Well I do ground-hopping. I came to

01:44Leeds and I saw this game here so I just came all over from Leeds to watch this game. Yesterday I

01:50was in London watching Fischer so today is Hallam's day. Well done Hallam! Can you tell

01:56me why you enjoy watching Hallam matches? The atmosphere and the celebration really. It's

02:04such a good game of football and honest and a bit different from going to watch a professional game.

02:10You can have a drink while you're at the match and get food and everything so it's
