00:00I know you typically don't discuss the lunches
00:02between the President and the Vice President,
00:03but since we're kind of in a unique time,
00:05do you have any sort of details or color
00:07or what the President planned to talk about with her?
00:09So, again, I just want to be — and I — you're right,
00:12we are in a different time, and I get the question.
00:14Always are very respectful of the President
00:17and the Vice President's private conversations.
00:20And obviously, they do regularly meet.
00:23And whether it's for a lunch or meetings
00:26about the national security, and they do that regularly,
00:29whether even White House events and just many — much more.
00:33They have, say, stayed in touch regularly
00:35over the past couple weeks,
00:36but they — couple days, couple weeks,
00:38but they do that normally as well.
00:40So it's nothing new there.
00:42But I don't want to get into their private discussion.
00:46As you know, the President is incredibly proud
00:48of the Vice President and what she has been able
00:50to accomplish, their partnership together,
00:54and is going to continue to support her.
00:57And I know you've said that we would continue
00:58to see President Biden at work, on the job,
01:00but he's had a lot of things on his calendar
01:02just today that were all closed press.
01:04Some of them seem like things we would have seen,
01:07at least at the top of the meeting.
01:09So is that going to be the standard operating procedure?
01:12No, it's not. You'll — you're going to —
01:13I can tell you right now, you can expect to see from him
01:16and hear him tomorrow, the President —
01:18or later this week, I should say, to be more specific.
01:20But tomorrow is already Thursday.
01:22But you'll hear from him later this week.
01:24I promise you that.
01:26Look, every event is —
01:30we assess it differently as it relates to press access.
01:34To Secretary Vilsack, we brought him to the podium
01:36because we wanted to make sure you heard
01:38directly from him on their conversation.
01:40They met, obviously, this morning
01:42to talk about this new announcement
01:44as it relates to the Inflation Reduction Act.
01:47And he's going to continue to get briefings all day.
01:50I talked about the fentanyl announcement.
01:51But it will not be the norm. It will not.
01:55You will hear from the President later this week.
01:57And he definitely wants to continue to have —
02:01to make sure you have access.
02:03He had a, you know, a little bit of a press conference,
02:06if you will, at 115 in the morning the other day.
02:09And so he certainly wants to continue to take your questions
02:11and see all of you. And so that's not going to stop.
02:14What is being done later this week?
02:15So I don't have anything to share at this time,
02:18but certainly we will, as you all know,
02:20when we lock things in, we certainly will share that.
02:24But you will see him.
02:25You will see and hear from him for sure later this week.
