00:47It can last up to 3 months.

00:50And it has homegrown local ingredients.

00:52That's the Emergency Nutrient Bar or Nutribar.

00:56Made with surplus saba and monggo,

00:59it's one of the main products in the City of Pines.

02:10One of our main criteria is that it should be community-led.

02:16It needs to address a problem that comes from the community.

02:22It went through DOST.

02:23It was upgraded because it went through eight prototyping.

02:29Seven and eight were tested.

02:32Tested for taste, tested for nutrients, and so on.

02:36That's why the process took a long time.

02:40The Nutribar was also approved by the Philippine Recommended Energy Nutrients Intake, or RENI,

02:45which was approved during the disaster.

02:48This is the finished product, the Nutribar.

02:51Let's taste it.

02:58We can taste the combination of banana and monggo.

03:02Some government agencies have tried and tested the Nutribar in Baguio.
