00:00China is off to a very strong start winning the first two gold medals of the 2024 Summer Olympics.

00:06The first one in the 10-meter air rifle mixed team and shooting is really a cornerstone of China's Olympic prowess.

00:14The other cornerstone of course is diving and that is where the second gold medal of morning competition came from.

00:20Team China winning the women's three-meter springboard synchro.

00:25The dive team is aiming for a gold sweep, something that they came so close to clinching in Tokyo.

00:32They are now just seven medals away from that unprecedented achievement.

00:36Meanwhile, fans still riding an Olympic high after last night's opening ceremony.

00:42It was epic. You had athletes on boats in the river, dancers on roofs,

00:47and of course Celine Dion making a triumphant return to the stage singing from the Eiffel Tower to close out the ceremony.

00:54A little bit of rain, a lot of rain, not dampening the mood last night or today either.
