00:00Team USA against the WNBA All-Stars, it couldn't be more perfect.
00:09It is really the only positive of Kaitlyn Clark being left off of Team USA.
00:16An indefensible decision now from any angle because the people who were very quick to
00:22tell you she wasn't good enough to be on that team would be frankly out of their minds if
00:28they were still of that opinion.
00:32However, you now get a matchup that has a lot of juice.
00:37Team USA is getting set to go to Paris, to go to the Olympics, to win gold again.
00:43This is arguably going to be their toughest challenge, it really is, from now and going
00:49on up.
00:50We know that these high-level practices, if you will, exhibitions is the better word,
00:57they do mean something to these teams.
01:00This is similar to the men's group who played against Team Select, right?
01:03We know they were pushed by Cooper Flagg-led team, except instead of Cooper Flagg, these
01:08are legitimately the best of the rest.
01:12And again, that's no slight because a few of the girls on the WNBA All-Star team look
01:17across that court and think, I'm better than her, I'm better than her.
01:22No way, right?
01:23You're getting a little bit of that Tobias Harris over me energy from the WNBA All-Stars.
01:29So you get now both sides wanting a win.
01:34It is what everybody wants out of the NBA's All-Star game.
01:38I don't really know how you can, again, set something up better.
01:42Cheryl Miller, who's going to coach the WNBA All-Stars, had an incredible kind of conversation
01:50with the media where she said she was excited to coach until she realized that her group,
01:56the WNBA All-Stars, wanted to beat the breaks off of Team USA.
02:01Now she's got a game on her hands.
02:03So again, that investment is going to be there.
02:06I think the side is tricky.
02:09There's a part of me that would think, go with Team USA because they are the overall
02:14more talented team, and I think they have more to prove.
02:18We did this game back in 2021, WNBA All-Stars against Team USA, and that was a victory for
02:25the WNBA All-Stars.
02:27If you're Team USA, that's certainly not a streak you can allow to develop here.
02:32But speaking of the 2021 Team USA versus WNBA All-Star game, it was a historic betting game.
