00:00And what are your favourite places to cool down in Chesterfield and around it?

00:05Well, we went to Bakewell. We like Bakewell, Matlock. We went to York.

00:12I sometimes go to Sheffield, which not very often.

00:17We like to go to Chancellors and all round here, you know.

00:24My grandson usually takes us and we go to a farm shop and have a coffee.

00:31You know, because when I'm on my own, I've lost my husband.

00:36And it's nice to go to places where you feel safe, you know.

00:42I don't go out much at night, but I like to go out in the daytime and I feel safe.

00:49I feel safe in Chesterfield.

00:52Yeah, we usually meet up with friends once a week.

00:56It would be nice if the parking charges weren't quite so expensive, I think.

01:02That's the main thing, really.

01:05There's a lot of choice for coffee shops and things to sit, which is a good thing.

01:10It's like a mind, you know, these little passageways. It's brilliant.

01:13I wish Doncaster were like this.

01:15If Doncaster were like this, I'd visit the town centre more often. It's brilliant.

01:19I think it's lovely here. I haven't visited for a few years, but I just think it's lovely.

01:23Because you can walk down there and there's all these alleyways with all these little shops and boutiques.

01:28I bought myself a T-shirt and I went to a charity shop, look.

01:32And I got that.

01:34I'm in a charity shop, a little lady with her nephew.

01:37I got myself a T-shirt because there's a salon down there.

01:40When it shops in the arcade thing down there, where the power and everything, there's a salon.

01:47See, I'm supposed to be giving myself a T-shirt because I've got to lose two stone for November.

01:53Then I'm going to have to have an operation start again with a smaller size.

01:56But I just pursue it. I can't resist it because it's purple.

02:09So what are your favourite places in Chesterfield to go to during the warm weather?

02:14I mainly come here every day, even when it's raining, in Queen's Park.

02:20Normally I bring a loaf of bread and feed the ducks.

02:24Most days, you know.

02:29I keep meaning to try the open-top bus that's started.

02:36I've not done it yet, but I think that'll be a good day out.

02:41I like vintage tea rooms.

02:44There's a cafe on Salisbury Street.

02:52Queen's Park cafe's nice.

02:54Quite a few places. Costa.

02:58Any places outside of Chesterfield, like Big District?

03:04Sometimes I go to Bakewell or Matlock.
