00:16The congestion at KLIA-2 started around 1.30pm, with airport staff assisting passengers at

00:21counters to obtain their boarding passes.

00:25Despite the tech outage, KLIA-2 announced that all international passengers must undergo

00:31the usual security and immigration checks.

00:35AirAsia advised passengers to arrive at the airport early for manual check-in, as the

00:39self-check-in feature was unavailable.

00:42It said as of 7.30pm there were no flight cancellations for the night.

00:48At KLIA-1, the KLIA Transit and Express services were operating normally, but passengers were

00:54advised to buy tickets at the counter.

00:57KLIA-Express posted a statement on social media stating customers were unable to purchase

01:03tickets via its app, website or digital wallets due to the tech outage, and advised them to

01:09buy the tickets at the counter.

01:11Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad stated that its airports in Malaysia were unaffected by

01:17the global Microsoft outage, but some airline partners experienced disruptions.

01:22Earlier reports indicated that airlines, banks, media outlets and hospitals in several

01:28countries were impacted by a cyber outage linked to an issue with the CrowdStrike Falcon

01:32sensor update.
