MLB Is In a Good Place with Young Talent

BMitch and JP loved the MLB All-Star Game Tuesday and think it bodes well for the future of baseball with all the young stars shining.

00:11they were tired of them, because right now,

00:14you got enough young players in this league

00:16that can carry this league and keep it going

00:24it feels like a baseball renaissance right now.

00:35Totally, Otani's, so I actually took notes

00:38because I was drinking beers and didn't want to forget stuff.

00:53I still find it kind of remarkable that like,

00:56certainly baseball, but like as a society,

00:58it just feels like we decided to stop talking

01:04out of the baseball.

01:07Then he can pitch as good as anybody out there, too.

01:10I know, I think that's done, though,

01:12because he's just such a power,

01:13like he's just so important as a hitter.

01:15I don't think he's gonna go back to pitching.

01:24Ever since I stopped playing fantasy baseball,

01:27my knowledge of like the entire MLB has shrunk.

01:30Salvador Perez must be 50 years old, though,

01:32because I had him in fantasy baseball one year,

01:35and I don't think I played in like seven years,

01:36and he was an all-star last night.

01:39Were you watching when this dude from Oakland,

01:41assuming they're still in Oakland, pitched Mason Miller?

01:45Yeah.

01:46He had more gas than skis.

01:48Listen to me.

01:49That was fire.

01:50He's the reason I'm saying what I said,

01:54because when he came in,

01:56what we've talked about last year

01:58and the year before Otani got hurt was Otani.

02:00Then we started talking about schemes.

02:03This kid can pitch.

02:05And then there are hitters all over the damn place.

02:08I was happy to see a lot of these young dudes

02:10out there doing their thing,

02:11because baseball can't just live off of old mindsets

02:15and old people.

02:15You gotta have people coming along,

02:17and the guys that are coming along

02:19got some flair and some cachet with them.
