00:14Nikki Haley, whom Trump regularly insulted during the Republican primaries, calling her

00:19among other things birdbrain, managed to find common ground with her former tormentor.

00:25You don't have to agree with Trump 100% of the time to vote for him.

00:36Take it from me, I haven't always agreed with President Trump, but we agree more often than

00:44we disagree.

00:46Another of Trump's primary rivals, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, stepped up to bat for

00:50the former president.

00:52Keeping the regular target of Trump's belittling rhetoric, DeSantis was effusive in his admiration.

00:59Now Donald Trump stands in their way and he stands up for America.

01:04Donald Trump has been demonized, he's been sued, he's been prosecuted and he nearly lost

01:10his life.

01:11We cannot let him down and we cannot let America down.

01:17Continuing on a common theme of this convention, Trump's former press secretary attributed

01:22his survival of an assassination attempt to divine intervention.

01:27God spared President Trump from that assassin because God is not finished with him yet.

01:35Trump's running mate Ohio Senator J.D. Vance addresses the convention on Wednesday, while

01:40the former president will accept the party's nomination in a speech before the convention

01:44winds down on Thursday.
