Schoolgirl, 14, who died after suffering 'single stab wound to the chest', as her parents appear in court charged with her murder. Scarlett Vickers was found fatally injured at a house in, Darlington, County Durham, by the emergency services shortly after 11pm on Friday, just hours after a neighbour claims to have had a 'normal conversation' about shopping with her mother. The schoolgirl was pronounced dead at the semi-detached property after succumbing to a single stab wound to the chest, a court heard today. This morning her father Simon Vickers, 49, and mother Sarah Hall, 44, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court charged with murder.
