Wes Streeting hits back at Maria Caulfield over Keir Starmer comment
Transcript
00:00David Cameron, when he was Prime Minister, was famous for his chillaxing.
00:04It sounds like if Keir Starmer becomes Prime Minister this week,
00:08he'll be chillaxing too, knocking off early on a Friday.
00:11No, what Keir Starmer has said is that throughout his time as leader of the
00:15Labour Party, he's tried to protect Friday nights with his kids.
00:18Firstly, because he's a good dad.
00:20Secondly, his wife's family have Jewish heritage and Friday nights are special.
00:25What we've seen this morning is just the latest desperate attack
00:29from the Conservative Party.
00:31The party that brought you the biggest lockdown party in Downing Street,
00:36now talking about other people's work ethic.
00:39The stench of their lies and hypocrisy is even more overwhelming
00:42than the vomit they left for Downing Street cleaners to clean up.
00:45And like the Downing Street cleaners, if we're given the chance on Thursday,
00:49Labour will clean up the Tories' mess too.
00:51And as far as I'm concerned, this is just the latest example
00:55of why this circus needs to be brought to an end
00:57and why people like Maria Caulfield, who were out this morning
01:00debasing herself on national television,
01:02should also be removed at the general election.
01:04And I know she's feeling the pressure from the Liberal Democrats in Lewes.
