00:00Chatty Courage is an initiative and it's basically run alongside the Loneliness Network.

00:05Our social workers have been involved in this and it's all to do with social isolation,

00:10combating social isolation. We have found in the last few years, especially after the Covid pandemic,

00:17that people have been very lonely, very isolated, particularly the older population. So we have

00:24developed alongside our Western colleagues and the Loneliness Network an idea of these

00:31Chatty Courages. And the Chatty Courages are really to get people to socialise together,

00:36to meet, and a lot of friendships have been made. We had one previously in December 2022

00:41and a lot of friendships have been made and people have become much more interactive,

00:45they are socialising, so it has a fantastic effect both mentally and physically. People

00:51are getting out and active and they're also meeting others and that has been very instrumental

00:56in their overall wellbeing.
