Shropshire Business's came together to celebrate what Shropshire has to offer, at the Shropshire Chamber Business awards at the Telford International Centre.

00:37Now, I know it's a tense time for many of you in the room.

00:40We've got more than 40 brilliant businesses shortlisted for our awards tonight

00:44and they're just thinking, come on, just get on with it.

00:46So, I'll do my best, but I've got some things I need to tell you about first.

00:54This is the 24th year of these fantastic awards.

01:02Tonight, you're going to be meeting in three of the county's business communities.

01:06We build up at the end of the night to crowning the 2024 Shropshire Company of the Year.

01:21Kerry, our events manager, hand-pitched that warm-up music for me because of its title.

01:28It's called, Won't Forget You, and I'm sincerely hoping that's true.

01:33We want the Chamber and tonight's event to be truly memorable.

01:38So, Ruth, you've just presented the award to Elizabeth here.

01:42Elizabeth Wilkinson, MBE, you've earned it, so that's it.

01:45How does it feel? You didn't know you were getting it, did you?

01:47I had no idea.

01:49I'm still in shock, and I have to know how Kelda felt last year when they did the same to her.

01:54So now you realise it's quite daunting, I would imagine, to get up on that stage.

02:08So you're pleased for her, then, Ruth?

02:17So, Elizabeth, you've been given work for your work in dyslexia.

02:22Dyslexia, yeah. Working with adult dyslexics, but not just that.

02:26It's, well, I'm beginning to learn it's everything else that I do as well.

03:03Did you, you know, did you think, yeah, we're in with a chance?

03:07Well, I don't know. We're happy.

03:09We all hope, because we think we've got something really special with Stallion AI,

03:13in terms of what we're doing.

03:14We're really doing cutting-edge technology, but you just never know.

03:17You just never know.

03:18Yeah, we know what we do, and we do make a difference,

03:20but you just hope that that comes across,

03:22and that we've been able to pass that message on

03:25in a way that everybody else understands it,

03:27and it looks like we actually do it.

03:29And it is what it says on the tin, isn't it, really?

03:32You're using the latest technology, and protecting species, and yeah.

03:38We're doing that across to protect species from going extinct.

03:40That's a great, great work.

03:47all in there, alongside the horses.
