Aquilino Gonell, faced boos and jeers from Republicans while visiting the Pennsylvania state House. Democrats applauded the officers for their heroism on January 6th, while many Republicans either remained seated without applauding or started booing, and some left the floor. The officers' visit was part of a tour across Pennsylvania to discuss the threat they say former President Donald Trump still poses to democracy. Gonell called Republicans' treatment of them "shocking but not surprising" and said they'd likely still claim to 'support police.’
