Perth Airport to get one terminal for domestic, international flights

Perth Airport's split terminals will be consolidated into one complex, ending years of confusion for travellers, following a new deal struck with Qantas.

00:06 for travellers. Now, after decades of discussion, Qantas has finally agreed to Perth Airport's

00:16 A world class facility that will provide a first rate customer experience from train

00:23 Perth Airport is currently split into terminals 1 and 2 east of the runways and the Qantas

00:28 terminals 3 and 4, 8km away on the opposite side. This move will see Qantas' domestic

00:34 and international services move across to the main terminals after 2031.

00:39 This will become our western hub. This is going to be, when completed, the largest airport

00:47 hub complex outside of Sydney.

00:49 Perth Airport had been pushing to expand the main site where the new Forestfield Airport

00:54 Rail Link ends, claiming it would nearly double annual passenger numbers. But Qantas wanted

00:59 to beef up its site, leading Premier Roger Cook to last year accuse the carrier of dawdling.

01:12 Under the $5 billion agreement, a new runway will be constructed, opening up new destinations

01:17 for Qantas' international network. That runway is due to open in 2028, with the new terminal

01:22 expected to be complete three years later.

01:25 In the meantime, Qantas will upgrade its current operations at terminals 3 and 4, while its

01:30 subsidiary Jetstar will relocate its services to terminal 2 from September.
