00:26 - You know what?

00:28 This campaign is all about getting your kids outdoors,

00:31 being outdoors as a family,

00:32 but also celebrating the sort of

00:35 perfectly imperfect moments, if you will,

00:37 which is something that I speak about quite often.

00:40 I think we live in a time and an age where,

00:43 you know, people are often projecting their lives

00:45 in this social media space and it can feel very perfect,

00:48 you know, when you're looking at it from the outside.

00:51 And so I think it's just really important

00:52 for all of us to talk about, you know,

00:55 the everyday and the grind.

00:57 And it's amazing and it's beautiful and it's chaotic

01:00 and it's messy and it's all those things.

01:02 And that's all part of being a parent.

01:04 And so I love that.

01:05 And so many other aspects of this campaign as well,

01:08 just, you know, the sort of mentality

01:13 that it takes a village and that this kind of

01:15 global community of parents that we're, you know,

01:18 all a part of are here to support each other

01:21 and, you know, lean on one another.

01:22 And that is kind of, you know,

01:24 the all-encompassing message behind this.

01:27 - What's your advice for parents who may be hard

01:30 on themselves for forgetting to do

01:32 or bring something for the kids?

01:34 - Oh, that I get it.

01:36 I wish I could give advice.

01:37 I mean, I guess I would say that I get it, right?

01:40 You know, it's, I used to pride myself, pre-kids,

01:43 I used to pride myself in being that girl

01:45 that could pack for like a two-week trip

01:47 in a carry-on bag.

01:48 'Cause I love to like reuse and repurpose everything.

01:52 And so I'm going, okay, here we go.

01:54 Multipurpose everything.

01:56 So I would say that I try my best to adopt that mentality

02:00 as a parent, the less is more mentality,

02:02 which is why I love that earlier you referenced parents

02:05 using the sunscreen as well, because I am so that parent.

02:08 That's like, okay, let's bring one thing

02:11 for the whole family.

02:13 I guess I'm not one to give advice

02:15 because I really feel like I'm a student in this life,

02:17 but that would be my advice is just less is more.

02:21 Don't beat yourself up if you forget things.

02:23 There's always somebody else there

02:24 that's gonna have something,

02:25 whether you're on a hike or at the beach,

02:27 don't be afraid to ask.

02:28 That's one of the amazing things, by the way,

02:29 about the stands that are going up this weekend

02:32 is that there are products there

02:34 that if you have forgotten something,

02:36 grab something off the stand,

02:38 donate something if you have extra.

02:40 It's again, that whole like village mentality,

02:43 but I love that.

02:44 So I would just say less is more and you've got this.

02:48 - I also like how you keep your lifestyle simple as well.

02:51 I know that, I believe I read that your family lives

02:53 on a farm, am I correct with that or a ranch?

02:55 - Yes, yeah, well, yeah, farm/ranch, but mini.

03:00 - It reminds me of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani

03:06 when they left Hollywood.

03:08 You remember what I'm talking about?

03:09 They left the Hollywood circuit with their three boys.

03:11 Well, what's your reason and has living on a farm

03:13 helped you create a sense of Zen and balance?

03:16 - Ooh, what a great question.

03:19 Well, I moved out of like the city, the big city.

03:24 Gosh, over 10 years ago now or longer.

03:28 You know, as a child, I was sort of a bit of a nomad

03:31 because I was working all over, you know,

03:33 all over the place, flying around the world,

03:35 different, you know, setting up homes in different states

03:38 or countries or whatever it may be.

03:39 And so I think I just, at a certain point,

03:42 wanted to commit to more of a connection with nature.

03:47 I grew up around a lot of animals.

03:50 My grandmother had horses.

03:51 I knew that I felt the most at peace in nature,

03:56 but I just can't, for me personally,

03:59 envision a life without that connection to plants and soil.

04:04 And I think in this day and age

04:07 where we're getting closer and closer

04:10 to kind of falling into full tech world

04:14 and our children are surrounded by that,

04:16 no matter how hard, you know,

04:17 we all try to shelter our kids from that.

04:21 We are growing up in the age of tech,

04:22 and I think the only way to really combat that

04:25 is through nature and that balance.

04:28 - I know that your husband, Ian,

04:29 he's one of your business partners

04:30 and one of your many businesses.

04:33 What have you learned from his stance

04:35 on making sure the whole family is happy and healthy,

04:38 much like you are for your family?

04:41 - You know, he and I have a lot of shared passion,

04:46 I will say.

04:48 Passion for health and wellness,

04:50 passion for the outdoors.

04:52 You know, I look at like, if there were a Venn diagram,

04:55 the overlap in the center is pretty major

04:57 because we just have a lot of, you know,

05:02 I think shared goals and this desire

05:05 to hopefully create a life and also businesses

05:08 that make a better life, which was, you know,

05:12 we launched the absorption company a few months ago,

05:14 which was all, you know, centered around that.

05:18 A supplement company that's all about, you know,

05:20 making people feel better

05:23 in a world where people deserve that, you know?

05:25 So I'll just say that he and I have a lot of common interests

05:29 and so it's good that we're on the same page about all this.

05:32 - I was gonna ask you that final question about that,

05:34 working together.

05:35 I've only heard, well, I can hear like good and bad things

05:38 about working with a partner,

05:39 but I'm guessing yours is only good things, right?

05:41 What's that dynamic?

05:43 - You know, I think that we are,

05:46 we're really good business partners, actually.

05:51 I have to say, we're very much the yin and the yang,

05:54 even though we have that center, that Venn diagram,

05:57 and there's a lot of shared passion,

05:59 but we're very much the yin and the yang in how we operate.

06:01 He's a super creative and a visionary,

06:04 and I am all about like the nuts and bolts and logistics

06:07 and running day to day and kind of, I would say,

06:14 realizing all of the kind of dreams

06:17 that he can conjure up and envision.

06:22 So, you know, hopefully we balance each other out

06:24 in that way.
