Cash Access UK, an organisation set up to protect nationwide access to cash,

has opened a temporary banking hub in Derbyshire.

The banking hub is located at Shirebrook Library on Patchwork Row

and will provide locals with banking services and cash services

while plans for a permanent hub continue to progress.

The temporary hub will be open five days a week from 9.30am to 5pm

and will remain available until a permanent banking hub opens.

It will offer a county service operated by the Post Office

where customers of all major banks can carry out regular cash transactions

whenever the hub is open.

It also offers a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank
