Trump's Assassination Claim Against President Biden Rebuked by AG Merrick Garland

Attorney General Merrick Garland slammed former President Donald Trump's claims that President Biden authorized his potential assassination during the FBI's search of Mar-a-Lago in August 2022. Garland said the document referenced regarding the use of deadly force is the DOJ's standard policy limiting its use, which was also followed in the FBI's search of Biden's home in Delaware in January 2023. Trump claimed on social media and in a fundraising letter that Biden was "locked & loaded ready to take me out" in relation to the Mar-a-Lago search. The FBI said it followed standard protocols for its Mar-a-Lago search and that no additional steps outside norms were taken.
