00:04President Daniel Novoa decreed a new state of emergency in seven provinces and one canton in
00:09the country. The measure will be applied for a period of 60 days in the provinces of Los Rios,
00:15Guayas, Santa Elena, ManavĂ­, El Oro, SucumbĂ­os, Orellana and DecantĂłn, Camilo Ponce, EnrĂ­quez
00:22of the province of Azuay. According to the Executive Decree 275, which establishes the
00:28measure, the availability of domicile and correspondence in the aforementioned entities
00:34is suspended. The President made a statement on the matter and said that, with this new
00:39state of exception, the second phase of the fight against terrorism in the country begins
00:43and to win it, according to his words, military intervention is necessary.
