00:00 Many people were at the Employees' Provident Fund EPF office in Rawang on Tuesday

00:06 following the introduction of Account 3, known as Account Flexible.

00:11 Some wanted more information on the option,

00:13 while others were updating their contact numbers to use the EPFI account app.

00:19 Account Flexible was introduced on May 11

00:22 to allow members to withdraw their EPF savings of between RM50 and RM250 per day,

00:29 the withdrawals could be transferred to their bank accounts.

00:32 Withdrawals can be made using the EPFI account app or from EPF branches nationwide.

00:40 Members can choose to transfer a portion of their savings to Account Flexible

00:44 from May 12 until August 31, 2024.

00:49 EPF said members do not need to be physically present

00:52 for identity verification at EPF offices as it can be done online.

00:57 However, withdrawals are subject to the member's previous withdrawal history

01:02 and the withdrawal amount does not exceed RM30,000.
